Licentiate “Finishing School” in the UK

This course is designed to fulfill the needs of those photographers who are quite simply ‘nearly there’ or are lacking in the finesse to qualify as a Licentiate in Wedding or Portrait Photography. It comprises of an Intensive two day programme to be delivered at my training centre in Coventry or at alternative bases in London and Ireland. It will be preceded by a clearly defined ‘homework’ or guided study period.

Over the period of the ‘Mentor Me’ programme I have been in a position to identify a growing number of photographers who are extremely close to qualifying at Licentiate level but lack the direction and hands on instruction to get them over the final hurdle. This course has been designed with that group in mind.

We also run our popular ‘Fast Track to Licentiate’ courses over 2 modules but to determine which course suits you best we ask that you send via email a zipped folder containing 20 images of no more than 150kbs each to iapp_mentor_me@yahoo.co.uk so that I may make an honest assessment and point you in the right direction. If you are a photographer who has already had feedback of a ‘nearly there, but not quite’ nature from Martin then this course is definitely for you!

This invaluable course will cost £300 and include the training, course notes, prescriptive shooting guide, teas & coffees plus a ‘working’ light lunch.

In return for their commitment, each delegate will literally have their hand held through their qualification which they will not only pass, but pass with some distinction! I have many years of proven track record of shepherding a large number of photographers in the UK and overseas to achieve everything from Licentiate to Fellowship and I don't know another professional trainer in the market place who can truthfully boast that.

On Day One… we will cover the following

Ø       The constituent elements of a ‘Licentiate’ panel

Ø       Critical Analysis – an introduction into the process of self evaluation

Ø       Learning the important ‘Rules’ of composition and image design

Ø       A re-evaluation of the essential core skills of ‘Lighting, Posing & Composition’

Ø       Identifying a style commensurate with the expectations of Licentiateship and ‘Merchantable Quality’

On Day Two… every delegate will…

Ø       Undertake a series of guided tasks which will be assessed

Ø       Definitive presentation techniques for qualification and print competitions

Ø       Present a portfolio of images that meet the standard
